Kalkiavatar is a news site published from India. We cover politics, geopolitics, technology, sports, spirituality, and the environment with one rule: stories, not screams.
The founding letter explains the rest. Read it here.
How we work
Every story has a human responsible for it. Their name is at the top of the page. If we get something wrong, we will publish a correction within twenty-four hours, and we will name our error in plain language. The corrections page is here.
We do not run anonymous attacks. We do not publish a story without a named human responsible. We do not trade access for coverage.
On the use of AI
Some of our articles are drafted with the help of AI tools. A human editor reads every line before it is published, and any article that used AI assistance is labelled at the top of the page. The responsibility for the story is the editor's, not the model's.
We mention this here, openly, because the trust between you and us is the only thing this site has. If you find out a story used AI assistance and we did not say so, write to us. We will publish a correction.
Languages
We publish in English and Hindi. A wider Indic-language roll-out comes after the first quarter.
